This is an exceptional hotel. Newly opened, probably undiscovered. A bargain for the price. Literally across the street from the Duomo. Room was quiet, large and clean. Lots of marble with bright lighting from window and fixtures.. We stayed on the second floor. A little kitchen was attached to the room, stocked with coffee, tea-bags, milk and food for a nice continental breakfast. Staff was very helpful. Although we arrived late, Gabrelle the owner greeted with a glass of wine, and some local cookies, served in the hotel's roof solarium, with a great view of Florence. Staff was helpful in getting train tickets and a car and driver. I have told everyone I've spoken to about the trip that "If you ever stay in Florence, you have to stay at the Granduomo!" The location is amazing, with The Duomo literally right out our window. The room was very large, beautifully decorated, high ceilings, etc. etc. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was our little oasis within the city. We had an extra 15%discount on payement because of the sofa bed. I Would recommend some better noise isolation.Since the appartments are in the most central place in all Florence there are a lot of people, ambulances, cars ect... crossing the road all dayand night. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS GREAT, the location, the service, cleanliness, the two ladies at the reception.They keep our luggage until 17.00 o'clock without extra cost because we had a late flight. Keine Haltemöglichkeit unmittelbar vor dem Hotel, Gepäcktransfer erschwert. Lage und Service des Hotels ansonsten perfekt!
