Immersed in dreamlike surroundings, shadowed by “Il Tombolo,” a centuries-old pine wood and located only a few steps away from an unblemished sea, lies Residence La Canova II. Built in the beginning of the last century as a classic Tuscan farm, La Canova II was originally composed of the owner’s house, a typical small church, farmhouses and cow sheds. It became a residence for tourists between the 1980’s and 1990’s thanks to the new owner. Partially immersed in the “Diaccia Botrona Natural Park,” La Canova II is home to a wide range of native plants and birds as well as animals such as wild hare, porcupines and squirrels as well as foxes and wild boar. In addition, there are numerous paths and trails in which to explore the uncontaminated surroundings. From the Residence, the beach is only a few minutes walk under pine canopies. The pristine coast remains accessible even during high season and the sea’s shallow shoreline makes it especially adapt for children. The residence is 3.5 km from the village of Marina di Grosseto and 5 km from the characteristic town of Castiglione della Pescaia where one will find shopping and other main services. La Canova II boasts an excellent location and is an excellent starting point for single or group excursions, whether exploring the beautiful sites and countryside of “Maremma” or visiting important cities like Siena, Florence and Rome. La Canova II has 20 apartments available, divided in different typologies (one, two or three rooms), all furnished in typical sea style. Each of them has an access to the Residence gardens, which are very shady and cool even in the warmest hours, thanks to the shade from the centuries-old pine trees. All apartments have equipped kitchens, coffee maker, sat TV, heating, garden furniture, umbrella and chairs to bring to the beach. |
